West Ham United – Newcastle United

West Ham United will kick off their Premier League season with a home game against Newcastle United on Saturday. In our football betting tips this weekend we will offer you a short preview of this match.

Just like it was last season, West Ham’s manager David Moyes has one major goal with West Ham – to keep the club in the Premier League. During the 2020/21 campaign the Hammers were moving at the edge, but in the last few rounds they managed to avoid relegation. If now they can do better, everyone at the London Stadium would be very happy.

West Ham United didn’t make any business on the transfer market, except for one signing. David Moyes chose to sign the Czech midfielder Tomas Soucek from Slavia Prague. He’s playing at the position of a defensive midfielder, so he should strenghten the team’s positions in midfield. Maybe it would be a good signing for the Hammers.

Newcastle United also chose to continue with the experienced manager Steve Bruce. Bruce managed to do a lot with the Mapgies, taking into account they do not have a lot of money to spend. These are not easy times for Newcaste, but so far they manage to hold on.

Newcastle made some deals on the market, though. The club spent good money for two players – Bournemouth’s striker Callum Wilson and Norwich City’s left back Jamal Lewis. Jeff Hendrick from Burnley was signed on a free transfer. Meanwhile the club said goodbye to Jack Colback and Rob Elliot who left St. James’ Park.

In these football betting tips this weekend we believe the match between West Ham United and Newcastle United looks very unpredictable. It’s too early to say how these two teams will perform in the league, so we should know better after Saturday. Let’s see what’s going to happen.
