Milan’s left back Ricardo Rodriguez may return to the Bundesliga. Bayern (Munich) and Borussia (Dortmund) have an interest in it, with the Bavarians having a better chance of attracting him. No formal talks yet, but only meetings with agents. It is believed that Milan would split up with the Swiss national for about 15m euros.
Bayern wants to secure a rival of David Alabas in the left defense zone. So far this role has been played by Juan Bernat, but he is among the players who are expected to leave the Allianz Arena. Originally in Munich they had an idea to buy Jonas Hector, but he re-signed with Cologne, although the “goats” fell into the Second Bundesliga. Rodriguez spent five years in Wolfsburg before joining Milan last summer. With the Rosoners, his performance was unstable and the club tends to sell it at a good offer.
The Swiss national is known for his steady entanglement and is a master of static positions. It will be particularly useful to Bayern if new senior coach Niko Kovacs enforces the 3-4-1-2 scheme in which flank players will play an even more important role.
