Fiorentina already started their Serie A season. La Viola had a successful debut when they faced Torino at the Artemio Franchi. Gaetano Castrovilli scored the only goal in the game which meant a 1-0 win for Fiorentina. Castrovilli executed an assist from Federico Chiesa and put the ball in the net behind Salvatore Sirigu’s back.
