Former England striker Gary Linneker shared his impressions of Japan’s performance at the World Cup in Russia.

“Thank God that England avoided meeting with Japan,” the Briton wrote on his Twitter page after the Belgian and Asian victories (3: 2).

As we know, Japan led 2: 0 in the second half, but then allowed a reversal and defeated.

On the 1/8-finals today England will play with Columbia’s team at Spartak stadium in Moscow.
